The New World Order takeover cracked apart because Wall Street bankers issued bad debt products to banks around the world. Each leading nation at the G20 meeting had a slightly different agenda, but all were united by the desire to restrict further exploitation by Wall Street bankers. The U.S. government has propped up AIG to facilitate payoffs to European banks forced to take large writedowns in assets. Business Week has details on these payments to foreign banks. (more…)

Let’s start with a report from McClatchy news service quoting congressional oversight panel chief Elizabeth Warren that “it is not possible to exercise meaningful oversight over Treasury’s actions” with regard to the TARP bailout funds. Iowa Senator Charles Grassley also weighed in, “You can’t measure effectiveness when you don’t know what the goals and objectives of a program are, or how the program is being run.” Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is blocking access to information about how the TARP funds were actually used. Warren believes the U.S. Treasury has overspent its authorized funds by $78 billion.
