Reporting on foreign affairs is usually thin and often misleading. Yes, we know that every country seeks “closer ties” with every other country. We’re trying to dig beneath the surface to find the real forces at work. What were the real cutting issues facing President Obama during his Asian trip last week? Despite genuine tensions between India and China, the Asian nations are moving toward formation of a tighter cooperation sphere for three reasons: China’s growing economic power correlating with U.S. economic decline, continuing resentment against predatory Wall Street bankers, and fear that Obama’s overspending and the Fed’s low interest rate policy will cause a worldwide debt crisis. UN links overpopulation with carbon emissions

The UNFPA has issued its annual report, this time linking carbon emissions with overpopulation.

“Each birth results not only in the emissions attributable to that person in his or her lifetime, but also the emissions of all his or her descendents. Hence, the emissions savings from intended or planned births multiply with time.”
