Mark Dice video on the Zelensky blowup at the White House:

Jews are hard to negotiate with, and they always want somebody else to pay for their wars and fight their wars.

Zelensky had a deal for U.S. involvement in mining Ukraine’s minerals, and the cabinet ratified it, but he didn’t sign it and chose instead a visit to the White House for signing. After the White House blowup, Zelensky has no deal, which means he has no premise for U.S. interest in the stability of Ukraine.

The minerals deal was really just a framework for further negotiations, with many factors left unaddressed. Here and here.

Remember, Trump has nothing but bad memories of the way Ukraine tried to destroy him.

Europe continues to support war in Ukraine and is proposing a European army as well as EU peacekeepers in Ukraine. But Lavrov rejects any peacekeepers in Ukraine.

Peace talks to end the Ukraine war have begun. Trump threw a strange demand into the negotiations, that continued economic support for Ukraine depends on Zelensky awarding the United States ownership of some of Ukraine’s supply of rare earth metals. The problem is, Russia controls the territory where most of those metals are located. If you want peace, why would you continue to fund Ukraine?

These negotiations are not going to be quick or easy as long as Zelensky remains in power. Meanwhile, European leaders are scrambling for a seat at the table, and NATO’s existence is in question. Macron calls for a new European military. Ursula von der Leyen indicates that Europe is abandoning NATO. Leaders are debating whether to buy arms from the United States. We expect NATO to expose Zelensky’s corruption to remove him from negotiations. A European security agreement is part of these negotiations, and Trump does not want U.S. soldiers to become designated peacekeepers. Maybe if they could just negotiate a ceasefire?

Trump threatens 100 percent tariff against BRIC countries. This threat, plus the 25 percent tariffs announced against Canada and Mexico, amounts to a declaration of economic war against the rest of the world. This will not go well. The short-term threat is greater inflation. The longer-term threat is less trade, less economic growth, and debt defaults by various countries.
