The Rutherford Institute has a post on Google’s plans to control the population, which they define as Ray Kurzweil’s Singularity achieved by the Internet of Things. Basically the idea is for Google to learn everything about everyone and turn control actions over to software programs and robots. This is not too far away, either.

The European Union has developed a computer that will track mileage and plans to install it in every car. The government of the UK wants to be able to control every automobile by remote control.
