Farmers to march on Sacramento August 28
We had to go all the way to Canada to find this story on the Sacramento rally being organized for August 28. This is an anti-eco rally to protest water being shut off to California farms. Farmers, loggers, truckers, farm equipment, trucks, and lots of angry people whose livelihood has been cut off by cutting off their water. By the way, that affects the food supply you eat.
“The Associated California Loggers (ACL) is the latest group to join the grassroots coalition that includes, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA), the California Chronicle, Water for All, the Coalition for a Sustainable Delta and Cowsandcrops.com.” Hmmm, the protests are getting a little more organized.
California’s central valley has one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. Now that the enviros have shut off the water to the farms, local businesses are going bust. No water, no food. No crops, no money. These folks aren’t on the bailout list, they are going to have to fend for themselves. Will the Democrats in Sacramento listen? Probably not, as long as it’s just another peaceful protest. Stay tuned.
