Balkan nations face economic collapse

World Politics Review reports on political changes and economic difficulties in Croatia, Macedonia, and Serbia. The model is, first the private sector unemployment increases, then declining revenues force governments to cut their spending, then bureaucrats get laid off. The governments issue more bonds, which puts them in more debt and gives them even less money to spend as they spend more of their budgets servicing interest on their debt. It’s a spiral downward. Even if the World Bank offers a loan, they still have to deal with increased debt service payments as the productive economy shrinks. One naturally thinks about a Day of Reckoning when the debt can no longer be serviced and the governments default on their bonds. This model plays out in all the weak economies and near-bankrupt states.

Now, how are the planners going to get all those people back to work before the government runs out of money? Time is not on their side. The Balkan governments may fall apart before their economies recover. The people will still be there, fending for themselves. Lots of people are starting to think about fending for themselves as they face hard times and the jobs disappear.

If you are facing hard times and unemployment, think about the bad career choice you made, relying on corporations or government bureaucracies to support you. Small businesses can continue to thrive during hard times as long as they provide a product that people want at a fair price. Think positive about new career choices as the New World Order economy collapses around you. it’s a chance to leave corrupt New World Order socialism behind and align yourself with real human values.
